Forgiveness. That’s a big one.
Forgiveness equals more internal freedom.
When we harbor anger, grudges and resentment from the past; that is heavy. It takes up precious internal space in this moment. It weighs us down. It takes up energy.

It’s as if we are carrying big suitcases around with us. Think of when you carry a heavy bag and you cannot wait to get to your destination and put it down. You usually don’t say ok, I have the opportunity to put it down now but let me keep lugging it around!
But all too often, this is what we do. We carry our past burdens into the present. The past is gone. It is no longer here. We can hold beautiful memories in our hearts, we can learn and grow from it. We can be angry.  But then we need to shine the light of forgiveness into the places that need healing and let go.

Just because we might say, Ok I want to forgive, I now forgive. It does not mean that in this moment we will totally let it go and poof just like that it happens. And that’s OK. It begins with an intention. I am willing to forgive. Sometimes traumatic awful things have happened. Forgiveness is a process. And sometimes it’s a long process. It can take a lifetime. But thats alright. Because when we open to forgiveness, grace finds us. When we tune into our source energy with the willingness to forgive, Miracles happen. Forgiveness is not about the other person. We may not choose to have them in our lives. We can still create healthy boundaries. They don’t even need to know your internal process.  It’s about freeing ourselves.
Sometimes it may be that we need to forgive another person or maybe forgive ourselves for a choice we made in the past that we don’t prefer. Maybe its about forgiving life, or maybe we might even feel like we need to forgive God.

The more we are willing let go and open our hearts to compassion, understanding and forgiveness, the lighter we will feel. And then we are free to embrace each present moment wholeheartedly.
Let’s choose Love.

Thank you for reading.
Namaste,
Tara
